Flore Neighbourhood Park Construction
The Ausland team have been involved in the development of the Bloomdale community in Diggers Rest for many years now.
Creating the Floré Neighbourhood Park was very exciting as it is the area's biggest community parkland, spanning one hectare and boasting numerous opportunities for fun and discovery across nature-based play zones.
The playground was developed in close collaboration with the local community who wanted a space for everyone to enjoy. The space provides everything for both active and passive activity across a range of ages from toddler friendly equipment, to a 3.5m high slide and spaces for picnics, seating and more.
Designed by CDA Design Group, they have incorporated elements of accessibility, safety, visibility and shade. The open grass area is designed to encourage groups of friends and families to play together while also helping to increase park safety by providing clear sight lines.
Floré Neighbourhood Park also provides increased connectivity for residents and links to the community’s broader park network and facilities like a multi-sport half court and goal post, fitness equipment, table tennis table and children’s playground.
The timbers have been locally sourced from Norwood Products in Geelong.
You can visit the park at Bouquet Cct, Diggers Rest VIC 3427.
